STATESBORO, Ga. - Four Duke men's golf individuals are set to play in the Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate at the Georgia Southern University Golf Course. The three-round event, held on Feb. 1-2, is in its ninth iteration. Named in honor of a former Georgia Southern golfer, the event features individuals from Georgia Southern and 18 other programs.
Duke will be represented by Daniel Choi, John Hiller, Sam Mukherjee and Ollie Mukherjee. Choi, a junior, is joined by the Blue Devils' three freshmen, in the 72-player field. The course, which opened in 2013, plays to a par of 72 and a distance of 6,900 yards.
36 holes are played on Saturday, Feb. 1, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m., on both days. Choi and Hiller will start on holes No. 5 and 6, respectively, while Sam Mukherjee will begin on No. 6 and Ollie Mukherjee on No. 13.
