DURHAM, N.C. — Former Duke women's soccer standout Quinn has inked a deal with Vancouver Rise FC of the Northern Super League (NSL) in Canada heading into the 2025 season. With the signing, Quinn will compete in their home country of Canada for the first time professionally.Â

A 2018 Duke graduate, Quinn owns over 200 appearances with the Canada Women's National Teams, was a 2020 Olympic gold medalist with Canada in Tokyo and a 2016 Olympic bronze medalist in Rio. The 2020 gold medal was the first in Canadian history. In 2018, Quinn was named to the CONCACAF Best XI.Â

"I'm so excited to come home and play professional soccer in Canada," said Quinn. "With Vancouver Rise FC, we hope to inspire a new generation of talented young athletes in Canada and beyond."

Quinn is the highest drafted Canadian in National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) history, going third overall to the Washington Spirit in 2018. In Quinn's rookie campaign, they started 16-of-17 matches for the Spirit. They went on to play six seasons with the Seattle Reign FC and helped with the 2022 NWSL Shield. Quinn started 63-of-85 matches over those six seasons.Â

In between time in the NWSL, Quinn spent two seasons playing in Europe, first with Paris FC in 2019 and then during a loan from Reign FC to Swedish side Vittsjö GIK in 2020.

Quinn helped lead Duke to the 2015 and 2017 NCAA College Cup, was the ACC Midfielder of the Year in 2017, a United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American and was a finalist for the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Trophy for national player of the year.Â

Northern Super League is a new Canadian professional women's soccer league, which currently consists of six clubs in key Canadian markets and is set to kick off in spring of 2025. The league is built by players and supporters of the game with the best practices from around the world and aims to further Canadian excellence in sport, equity and inclusion.Â
