DURHAM, N.C. – Duke baseball graduate transfer
Jake Hyde was named one of D1Baseball's top 50 first basemen entering the 2025 season, slotting the Georgetown transfer as the 11th-best in the country.
In his four seasons with the Hoyas, Hyde appeared in 186 games, starting 181 of those contests. He posted a career batting average of .314 and recorded 735 total at-bats. The Darien, Conn., native scored 175 runs and tallied 231 career hits, 52 doubles, four triples, and 48 home runs. He posted a career-high .354 batting average in his sophomore campaign, posting back-to-back .300-plus average seasons in 2022 and 2023.
The 6-foot-4 infielder and outfielder posted a career slugging percentage of .592 and held a .403 on-base percentage during his time at Georgetown, bringing a multitude of experience and veteran leadership to Duke in 2025.
