DURHAM, N.C.—The Duke men and women's lacrosse programs are proud to partner with Duke Children's Hospital with a Sticks Up for Duke Children's fundraising initiative during the programs' 2025 seasons.
This partnership with Duke Children's hospital will help raise critical funds in support of patient care, in hospital patient support services and special events like the Duke Children's Prom. In recent seasons, the Duke lacrosse programs have played an instrumental role in putting on the Duke Children's Prom, helping set up and tear down, dancing with the children and simply making Duke Children's Prom a night for them to remember.
Individuals can support Sticks Up for Duke Children's by pledging money as we track the workhorse statistics of assists, ground balls, caused turnovers and faceoff/draw control wins throughout the season. The pledge options are $0.10, $0.50, $1.00 and $2.50.
With the totals from the averages of the past four men's lacrosse seasons, the $0.10 pledge would have equaled $114.70. The largest pledge would have totaled $2857.50. Individuals also can make a one-time pledge of any amount. For the women, based on averages over the past four seasons a $0.10 pledge would be a $90.90 donation while the $2.50 amount comes out to $2,272.50.
Duke Children's relies on the generous support of our many friends, alumni and partners. Every contribution helps build a lasting foundation that enables us to achieve our mission of providing world-class clinical care to patients, achieving important breakthroughs in pediatric research, and educating the next generation of pediatric providers.
