DURHAM, N.C. – Six home dates, nine contests against 2024 bowl game or College Football Playoff participants and three tilts versus programs that finished ranked in the top 25 a season ago highlight the 2025 Duke football schedule released Monday evening by the ACC office.
The Blue Devils begin the campaign hosting Elon on Saturday, August 30 at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium before welcoming Big Ten foe Illinois to Durham on Saturday, September 6. The Fighting Illini ended the 2024 season ranked No. 16 in the final Associated Press (AP) poll.
Duke makes its initial road trip the following weekend with a visit to Tulane for a Saturday, September 13 tilt.
To begin ACC play, Duke welcomes NC State on Saturday, September 20. The Blue Devils follow with consecutive league games at Syracuse on Saturday, September 27 and Cal on Saturday, October 4. Syracuse was ranked No. 20 in the final 2024 AP poll.
Duke has its first open date on October 11 before hosting Georgia Tech on Saturday, October 18. The Blue Devils close October with their second open date on October 25.
Five November contests begin with back-to-back road games at Clemson (Saturday, November 1) and Connecticut (Saturday, November 8). The Tigers checked in at No. 14 in the final AP poll of the 2024 season.
Duke hosts Virginia on Saturday, November 15 before heading to Chapel Hill to face North Carolina on Saturday, November 22.
The Blue Devils cap the regular season welcoming Wake Forest on Saturday, November 29.
