DURHAM, N.C. – For 100 years, one look has been iconic across Duke's campus – its special stone. As part of Duke's Centennial Celebration and Homecoming on Saturday, the Blue Devil football team will unveil its Durham camouflage, which is modeled after the famed Duke stone.Â
Â
The stone originates just 14 miles from campus in a quarry near the edge of the Duke Forest and is found in roughly 100 buildings and campus walls across Duke University and Health System.Â
Â
Saturday, it'll make its way onto Duke football pregame apparel at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.
