How It Happened
- Kansas dominated the opening set with a .273 hitting percentage but Duke held tough and won the set, 25-22. Kadel got hot early with five kills to lead all hitters for both teams and found a way to overcome Kansas' big block.
- Kanas responded well and evened the match score, 1-1, after the second set. The Jayhawks posted a whopping .520 hitting clip with 14 kills and just one mistake on 25 swings as Onabanjo connected on all but one attempt.
- All tied up, Duke couldn't find an answer to Onabanjo as she hit .800 in the third set, helping lead the Jayhawks to a 2-1 lead heading into what would be the final set. Kansas led 18-13 and used a 5-0 run to take a 23-15 lead to put Duke on its heels.
- Kansas' Onabanjo was flawless in the fourth (10-of-10) and limited Duke to a .000 clip to lead the nationally-ranked Jayhawks their second victory this weekend.

Quote
- We are learning a lot in these early matches about our team which is exactly what we need at this time of the season. I was pleased with how our team was aggressive with our serve early …. we were getting solid touches on the block and truly helping ourselves to transition and score. We were making things happen for ourselves through our serve." - head coach Jolene Nagel
