DURHAM – Director of swimming and diving
Brian Barnes announced the 2024-25 competition schedule for Duke on Tuesday.
Barnes' 2024-25 competition slate comes on the heels of the Blue Devils 2023-24 success, collecting the most points at the NCAA Championships and highest finish in program history, tallying 80 points and finishing in 16th.
HOME SWEET HOME
The Blue Devils will remain close to home for much of the season, exiting the state of North Carolina once during the fall portion of the schedule. Duke competes in Wilmington, N.C., to begin the season, before a short trip for the men's team to compete at Marymount. The Blue Devils then return home to host three-straight meets at the Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion against Virginia Tech (10/19), South Carolina (10/25) and Northwestern (11/8-9).
SENIOR WEEKEND ON DECK
Duke welcomes the Volunteers of Tennessee to Durham for the first time since the 2021-22 season, as the Blue Devils will honor their seniors at the Taishoff Aquatics Pavilion.
LOCAL ACTION
Ten of the 12 meets during the regular season of competition are scheduled to be held inside the state of North Carolina. Duke travels to Washington, D.C., for a men's meet against Marymount and does not leave the state until the turn of the new year against Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Ga.
NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS HEAD WEST
For the 2024-25 season, the NCAA Championships have moved locations for both the men's and women's meet. Both events will be held in Federal Way, Wash., at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center, home of the Washington State Cougars.
