McMyler Receives WGCA All-America Honors

DURHAM – Duke women's golf graduate student Emma McMyler earned Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Honorable Mention All-America honors on Friday, as announced by the association.
The honor for McMyler is the first for her collegiate career, after featuring an impressive resume at both Duke and Xavier.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, McMyler finished the season ranked No. 38 nationally, after carding a team-best 72.03 stroke average with one top-five, three top-10 and five top-20 finishes. She collected 18 rounds of even or under par and a tied for team best with six rounds in the 60s.
McMyler received All-ACC accolades in 2023-24 and turned in a season-best finish of tied for fourth at the Windy City Collegiate with rounds of 74, 69 and 72. She opened her Duke career with back-to-back under par rounds of 71, becoming the fourth Blue Devil to accomplish this along with Jaravee Boonchant, Leona Maguire and Amanda Blumenherst.
At the NCAA Cle Elum Regional, McMyler registered scores of 74, 69 and 72 to finish sixth. She became just the second Duke golfer to turn in four straight top-10 finishes at a NCAA Regional joining Leona Maguire. McMyler tied for ninth at the Florida State Match-Up with three straight rounds of even or under par and helped Duke register two team wins and a trip to the NCAA Championship, which was the first appearance of her career.
Over her four years in college, McMyler totaled a 72.55 stroke average with six wins, 13 top-five finishes, 22 top-10 and 29 top-20 placements, while posting 56 rounds of even or under par and 14 scores in the 60s.
McMyler earned a degree in actuarial science from Xavier in May of 2023 and graduated from the Duke Fuqua School of Business MMS program in May of 2024.
