DURHAM – The 10th-seeded Blue Devils are set to open NCAA Regional play on Friday against the Morgan State Bears at Duke Softball Stadium. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m.
The Blue Devils earned hosting rights for the third time in program history and welcome Morgan State, South Carolina and Utah to Duke Softball Stadium. The Blue Devils lead the all-time series with Utah and Morgan State, 3-0 and 1-0, respectively. Duke is 1-2 against South Carolina after defeating the Gamecocks, 5-1, in Columbia in 2021. The regional is a double-elimination format.
Duke (47-6, 20-4 ACC) claimed the 2024 ACC Championship after defeating No. 13 Florida State, 6-3, on Saturday afternoon behind a sold-out crowd at Duke Softball Stadium. In addition to the team title, four Blue Devils brought home individual hardware after being named to the ACC All-Tournament team. Seniors

Aminah Vega were all honored, increasing Duke's all-time All-Tournament team selections to 11. Wright was also selected as the ACC Tournament MVP and joins
Peyton St. George as the only Blue Devils to receive the honor.
Morgan State (35-18, 18-3 MEAC) is making its second NCAA Regional appearance after capturing its second MEAC Championship, defeating Coppin State on Saturday. Head coach Larry Hineline was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Coach, while Victoria Fletcher was named the Most Outstanding Player. The Bears are paced by Fletcher with a .336 batting average on the year with 10 doubles, four home runs and 26 RBI. In the circle, Morgan State is led by Emily Raubuch's 1.86 ERA after 27 appearances.

BLUE DEVILS IN THE NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP
Overall, Duke is 8-7 in the NCAA Championship after hosting the program's first NCAA Super Regional last season. The Blue Devils have outscored opponents at the event 58-45, including their first NCAA run-rule win over No. 19 Georgia in 2022.
