QUOTES
- "First and foremost, the conversation starts with Chase Burns. He was really good. You have to tip your hat sometimes. It was electric and was as good as stuff as I have seen in college baseball in a long time. I love the job out of our bullpen again to keep the game within striking distance. We gave up four baserunners over the final five frames of the game. It was a terrific job of our offense to force them to use their closer in a game that started off as a five-run game. When you put the tying run on deck and force them into that situation, you may not win the battle tonight, but you may win the war. It wasn't the worst thing in the world us dropping a game last week to Akron, because it put us in a situation to play a rubber match game on Sunday and that has prepared us for tomorrow." – Head coach Chris Pollard on his overall thoughts on the game and playing for a series tomorrow.
UP NEXT
- Duke and Wake Forest complete the three-game series with a rubber match on Sunday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. from David F. Couch Ballpark.
