- Duke finished with one of the best rounds on the course during the final round, firing a 2-over, 290, to close out the event.
- Ethan Evans used a strong closing stretch of holes to secure a 1-over, 73, on Monday. The sophomore made the turn at 2-over after bogeys on holes No. 2 and 9 but got one shot back on the par-5 11th. Back-to-back bogeys moved Evans to 3-over, but he rolled in two birdies in his final three holes, including on the 520-yard, par-5, 18th. QUOTES
- "I didn't do anything flashy this week overall, but I committed to my lines off the tee and kept the ball in play. I did a good job of accepting each shot, especially knowing the course was tough in the wind. Although I was a bit off during the final round, I think I gained some shots by staying composed and continuing to commit to playing my game down the stretch." – Duke sophomore Ethan Evans
UP NEXT
- Duke returns to Florida for its next team event – the Valspar Collegiate Invitational – on March 25 and 26, hosted at Floridian National Golf Club.
