DURHAM, N.C. – Duke senior linebacker Cameron Bergeron was named the ACC Linebacker of the Week following the Blue Devils' 23-17 victory at Wake Forest on Saturday.
Playing his final regular season game, Bergeron totaled nine tackles, 1.0 tackle for loss, 1.0 sack and one caused fumble.Â
He helped the Duke defense limit Wake Forest to 17 points (9.5 below its average entering the game), 318 total offensive yards (57.5 below average), 207 passing yards (36.1 below average) and 111 rushing yards (21.4 below average).Â

After the Demon Deacons capitalized on a turnover for a 14-yard touchdown scoring drive at the 9:00 mark of the third quarter to take a 17-3 lead, the Blue Devils held Wake Forest to zero points, 56 total yards and three punts on three total possessions as Duke rallied with 20 unanswered points for its sixth one-score victory of the season.

Bergeron, a native of Albany, Ga., was a key piece of a defense that totaled 5.0 sacks versus a Demon Deacon offense which entered the week allowing just 3.3 sacks per game and limited Wake Forest to just 2.6 yards per rushing attempt after it entered the game averaging 3.6 yards per rushing attempt.
The ACC's other weekly honors included Georgia Tech's Haynes King (quarterback), Louisville's Isaac Brown (running back), Syracuse's Jackson Meeks (receiver), Savion Washington (offensive line) and Devin Grant (defensive back), Boston College's Donovan Ezeiruaku (defensive line) and Virginia Tech's John Love (specialist) and William Watson (rookie).
