- Riding an 11-match winning streak, the No. 1 ranked Duke women's soccer team (11-1-0, 6-0-0 ACC) returns home to host Boston College (10-4-1, 2-3-1) on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 5 p.m., at Koskinen Stadium.
- Saturday's match will be aired live on ACC Network Extra with Matt Stradley on the call.
- The NCAA Division I women's soccer committee revealed its top 16 teams Thursday with Duke earning the No. 1 ranking.
- Blue Devil sophomore Phoebe Goldthwaite will go up against her sister, Baylor, who is a junior at Boston College.
- The Blue Devils' 11 victories on the season mark the 16th time out of Robbie Church's 24 years he has led Duke to double-digit wins.
- For the second time in program lore, Duke has opened ACC play with a 6-0 record (2024, 2017).
- The Blue Devils (6-0) are the only undefeated ACC team remaining in league play.
- On the season, Duke has scored 38 goals by 12 different players.
- Robbie Church announced on July 22, 2024 he will be retiring at the end of the season and Duke will be promoting associate head coach Kieran Hall to head coach in 2025. Current assistant coach Carla Overbeck will move to associate head coach in 2025 as well.
STORYLINES/OTHER BLUE DEVIL NOTES
- Maggie Graham owns eight goals over her last 10 matches, while adding five assists. She owns a career-high 21 points on the season. Graham has scored or assisted in eight out of the last 10 contests.
- Mia Oliaro has assisted in five consecutive matches. Overall, Oliaro owns two goals and five assists during that stretch.
- The 30 goals over the last eight matches for Duke rank tied for second in Blue Devil history -- 31 (2004), 30 (2024, 1989).
- On Oct. 8, Duke moved to No. 1 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll for the first time in Blue Devil history.
- Duke holds a +157 advantage in shots and +32 in goals on the season.
- Duke leads the ACC with a 2.67 goal margin (scored 38 and allowed 6).
- Blue Devil junior Devin Lynch (T2, 8), fifth year Ella Hase (T4, 7) and sophomore Mia Oliaro (T4, 7) all rank in the top five of the ACC in assists.
- Devin Lynch has scored or assisted in eight-straight matches, which are also Lynch's first eight starts of the year. She owns four goals and eight assists during that stretch.

THE SERIES WITH BOSTON COLLEGE
- Duke and Boston College will meet for the 22nd time in program history with the Blue Devils leading the series, 14-4-3.
- In matches played in Durham, Duke leads with a 9-0-1 ledger.
- Head coach Robbie Church holds a 13-4-3 mark against Boston College over his career.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
- Boston College enters the match with a 10-4-1, 2-3-1 ACC mark. The Eagles have dropped two straight to Clemson (0-2) and Florida State (0-1).
- Aislin Streicek, Paige Peltier and Ava Lunch all lead Boston College with five goals each.
- On the road this season, the Eagles have totaled a 3-2-0 ledger.
HEY, I KNOW YOU!
- Duke assistant coach Jason Lowe will go up against his former team - Boston College -- on Saturday.
- Lowe was the head coach at Boston College from 2019-23.
- Blue Devil sophomore Phoebe Goldthwaite will face her sister, Baylor, who is a junior for the Eagles and has played in all 15 matches.
- Emily Sapienza of Boston College played for the NC Courage Girls Development Academy with numerous Blue Devils.
BIG WEEK ON THE ROAD
- Duke concluded one of the biggest road stretches in program history with back-to-back wins against No. 7 Stanford and No. 17 California this past week.
- It marked the first time in program history the Blue Devils notched two-straight wins on the road against ranked foes in a week.
GRAHAM NETS HONORS
- Duke graduate student Maggie Graham received ACC Offensive Player of the Week and TopDrawerSoccer National Player of the Week on Tuesday.
- Graham featured a record-breaking day at Stanford as she totaled just the eighth hat trick in Duke history and only the second in ACC regular season action. The midfielder also added an assist as well for seven points in the match. Graham's seven points tied a Duke match record and was a school-record in ACC regular season action.
- Her two goals in the first 4:07 were the two quickest goals in program history and her two goals in a span of only 14 seconds was also a school record.
- At California, Graham played the entire 90 minutes and was a key component in the Blue Devils controlling the midfield in the 2-1 victory.
FREEMAN SHINES IN HOMECOMING
- In her California homecoming, Leah Freeman came up huge in goal for the Blue Devils last week.
- Freeman collected 11 saves and allowed only two goals over 180 minutes. At No. 7 Stanford, Freeman totaled a season-high seven saves and even saved a penalty kick en route to a 4-1 victory.
- At No. 17 California on Sunday, she registered four key saves as Duke came back from being down 1-0 to winning 2-1 on the road.
- The match was in her hometown of Berkeley, Calif. Freeman moved to 3-0 all-time in matches played in Berkeley, Calif. In both matches, Freeman made incredible saves to keep the Blue Devils in it and come away with back-to-back wins against ranked foes.
BLUE DEVILS COLLECT STATEMENT WIN AT STANFORD
- In its first match as the No. 1 ranked team in the nation, Duke posted an impressive, 4-1, victory over No. 7 Stanford on Thursday.
- Duke goalkeeper Leah Freeman came up huge for the Blue Devils with a season-high seven saves and stopped a second half penalty kick.
- Maggie Graham tied a school record for goals (3) and points (7) on the night, while becoming just the eighth Duke player to collect a hat trick and only the second in ACC action.
- The victory by the Blue Devils snapped a 34-match home unbeaten streak by Stanford at home inside Cagan Stadium. Duke's four goals also tied for the most allowed by the Cardinal at home in program history.
- Graham totaled the eighth hat trick in Duke history and only the second in ACC regular season play. Her seven points and three goals both tied school records. The seven points in an ACC match were a school record.
- It marked the first hat trick by a Duke player since 2012 (Kaitlyn Kerr).
- The four first half shots for Duke were the second-fewest for the Blue Devils this season (North Carolina – 3).
- The four goals scored at Stanford were tied for the most allowed by the Cardinal at home in program history – California (1986), Cal State Hayward (1985).
- Duke collected four or more goals against a top 10 ranked opponent for the fourth time in program history – #8 Marquette (5-2, Sept. 9, 2012), #3 West Virginia (4-0, Sept. 8, 2017), #9 Clemson (4-1, Oct. 13, 2019).
DUKE EARNS NO. 1 RANKING
- Duke received its first No. 1 ranking in the United Soccer Coaches poll under the direction of head coach Robbie Church on Oct. 8.
- Overall, it was the second time in school history the Blue Devils have been ranked No. 1 by the United Soccer Coaches with the other coming in 1992.
- Duke was also No. 1 in the Soccer America poll back in 2012 for two weeks under Church.
- The Blue Devils have earned a top five ranking for the fifth straight season and an impressive 10th time under Duke head coach Robbie Church.
- Duke went from being unranked to No. 8 to No. 1 in five weeks, which was the biggest jump in program history.
- For the ninth straight year, the Blue Devils have been ranked in the top 10 nationally at some point during the season.
- Head coach Robbie Church has guided Duke to top 10 rankings in 16 of his 24 seasons with the Blue Devils.
CHALLENGING SLATE AHEAD
- Of the final six regular season matches, five of those are against nationally-ranked foes -- Wake Forest (2), North Carolina (4), Stanford (6), Notre Dame (12) and California (25).
- Four of the six contests are on the road as well.

- Duke owns an 11-match winning streak on the season, which is the second-longest in Duke history.

LYNCH SCORING AS JUNIOR
- After not scoring her first two years at Duke, junior Devin Lynch has tallied five goals over the first 12 matches in 2024.
- The only other Blue Devils to be scoreless their first two seasons and then score four or more goals as a junior were Kelly Hathorn (6 in 2007), Heidi Hollenbeck (4 in 2004) and Molly Lester (4 in 2010).
- Lynch has scored or assisted in eight straight matches, which is the second-longest streak in program history. It is also the longest current streak in the ACC.
- Since entering the starting lineup against ETSU on Sept. 8, Lynch has totaled four goals and assisted in each of the last eight contests.

QUICK START IN ACC PLAY
- Duke has jumped out to a 6-0 start in ACC play for only the second time in Blue Devil history (2024, 2017).
- The Blue Devils posted a 10-0-0 ledger in 2017 to win the ACC regular season title.
- Duke is averaging an ACC-best 3.0 goals a game in ACC play scoring 18 in six matches.
- The Blue Devils' five goals allowed is tied for fourth behind North Carolina (3), Notre Dame (3) and Wake Forest (4).

NOTING THE BLUE DEVILS
- Graduate student Maggie Graham owns a career-best eight goals, 21 points and three game-winning goals on the year.
- Katie Groff totaled her second goal of the season against Louisville and has registered two goals in each of the last four years.
- Duke finished the month of September with a 5-0 ledger, which marked only the second undefeated month of September in program history (2017 - 8-0).
MIA SQUARED
- For the second time over a span of three matches, Duke's Mia duo connected on a goal for the Blue Devils -- Mia Oliaro assisted Mia Minestrella against Louisville.
- Overall, Minestrella has scored six goals this season and Oliaro has assisted on three of those (Nebraska, SMU, Louisville).
- All six of Minestrella's goals have come off the bench for the sophomore.
- The duo are also roommates this year.
