DURHAM, N.C. – No. 11 Duke men's soccer (5-2-4) hosts Howard (1-6-3) on Wednesday evening at Koskinen Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ACCNX.
Wednesday is also Bark at the Park for the Blue Devils. Fans can bring their four-legged friends by completing the attached release form. Parking will be in the Science Drive Garage and open two hours before the match begins.
MATCHUP NOTES
- Duke and Howard meet for the fourth time in program history on Wednesday evening at Koskinen Stadium, as the Blue Devils lead the series 2-1-0.
- Howard defeated Duke in the first-ever meeting between the two sides in 1972 before the Blue Devils won the previous two meetings by a score of 6-0 combined.
BY THE NUMBERS
14 – Goals scored against Averett at Koskinen Stadium tied a program record for most goals scored in a single contest.

FIRST TOUCH
- The Blue Devils head into the off week of ACC play on Wednesday, hosting Howard at Koskinen Stadium. Duke is coming off a 0-0 draw to Wake Forest on Saturday, collecting its ninth point in league play this season.
- Graduate Adam Luckhurst and sophomore Ulfur Bjornsson lead the way at the top for the Blue Devils, collecting 18 points on the season apiece. Bjornsson has tallied eight goals and two assists, while Luckhurst had his five-match scoring streak snapped against the Demon Deacons.
- Graduate Wessel Speel has registered 27 saves on the season, posting a 5-2-4 record with two shutouts in net. He tied his season-high of five saves against Wake Forest, equaling his performance against SMU a few weeks ago.
ACC TABLE IS CROWDED
- Heading into the seventh weekend of ACC play, the league standings are crowded, as eight teams are within striking distance of the top spot. Duke enters its bye week, in sole possession of fifth place after drawing with Wake Forest last weekend.
- The top four seeds in the standings will receive home field throughout the tournament, as the first two rounds are hosted on campus sites. From there, the semifinals and finals of the ACC Tournament will be conducted at WakeMed Park in Cary, N.C.
- With two matches left to play, Duke travels to Virginia Tech (4 points, 13th place) and hosts Notre Dame (7 points, ninth place) to round out conference play. All six matches from here on out are important as Duke looks to lock down a top seed in the ACC Tournament and boast its NCAA resume down the stretch.
