DURHAM – With the official start of the 2024 men's lacrosse season just four days away, the ACC has announced its preseason All-ACC selections as well as the predicted order of finish as voted by the league's five head coaches.
Garnering preseason All-ACC recognition for the Blue Devils are
Kenny Brower (defense),
Tyler Carpenter (LSM),
Andrew McAdorey (midfield),
Jake Naso (FO) and
Brennan O'Neill (attack). The Blue Devils were picked to finish second in the standings with 19 points. Notre Dame topped the poll with 23 points. Rounding out the group are Virginia (16), North Carolina (9) and Syracuse (8). Duke's five selections lead the league, while Notre Dame has four.
These are the latest preseason honors for the Blue Devils heading into the 2024 campaign. Brower, Naso and O'Neill all have garnered preseason All-America first-team recognition with Brower and O'Neill being named USA Lacrosse Magazine's Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and Player/Attackman of the Year, respectively.
Carpenter is among the top longstick midfielders, earning All-America third team recognition from both USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse. McAdorey recently nabbed an honorable mention nod from Inside Lacrosse.
The preseason No. 2 Blue Devils open the 2024 campaign Saturday, Feb. 3 against Bellarmine. Faceoff is set for 12 p.m., at Koskinen Stadium. Season tickets are available for purchase up until this Saturday and are $78. Single-game tickets are $11. Tickets are available for purchase at
