NEED TO KNOW
•   In a top-16 matchup, No. 16 Duke (5-2-0, 1-0-0 ACC) will host No. 10 Notre Dame (5-1-2, 1-0-0) on Thursday at 7 p.m., inside Koskinen Stadium.
•   Thursday's match versus the Irish will be aired live on ACC Network Extra with Daron Vaught (PXP) and Tess Boade (Analyst) calling the action.
•   Duke graduate student
Kati Druzina will face her former Notre Dame squad Thursday. She played in 54 matches and made 49 starts for the Irish over the last three years.
•   Duke has totaled seven goals in the first half this season and has scored at least one goal in the first half in each of the four home matches in 2023.
•   After scoring goals in the first three matches,
Kat Rader has scored only one goal the last four contests.
•   The Blue Devils are looking for their first win against a ranked opponent this season, after falling at home to No. 24 Southern California and No. 3 Stanford. Duke has been outscored 7-1 in those contests.
•   Over the last two seasons, Duke has lost six student-athletes that have gone on to play in the NWSL.

•   Duke features a tough stretch ahead facing five ranked opponents over the next six matches.

Carina Lageyre posted her first two collegiate goals at Boston College in the ACC opener. She went on to be named ACC Offensive Player of the Week as Duke won 2-0 on the road. Â
•   Lageyre's goal at the 2:51 mark of the first half was the quickest goal Duke has scored this season. It is the fourth-quickest goal in the ACC this season (Virginia at 0:50 vs. Radford; Virginia at 0:55 vs. VCU; and Clemson at 1:35 vs. Gardner-Webb). Â
•   Duke owns a 2-0-2 ledger over the last four ACC home opening matches.
•   Since allowing four goals at Stanford, the Blue Devils have posted three straight shutouts and own a span of 286.53 without allowing a goal, which is a season best.

Katie Groff and
Devin Lynch have connected for two goals off corner kicks this season (West Virginia and East Carolina).
•   After playing only three subs in the first half against West Virginia in the opener, the Blue Devils have increased the subs in each match. In the last four matches, six, seven or eight players have come off the bench to see action. Â
•   Duke scored goals in the first half in the first three games for the first time since the 2017 season. In 2017, the Blue Devils totaled goals in the first half in each of the first seven matches. Overall, Duke has notched seven first-half goals in seven matches, while scoring only three in the second half.
•   In her first two seasons, when
Kat Rader scores, the Blue Devils feature a 12-1-1 ledger. Rader has scored four of Duke's seven goals this season and has 16 over her short career. She became just the sixth Blue Devil to register goals in each of her first three matches to start a season.

THE SERIES WITH NOTRE DAME
•   The Blue Devils and Fighting Irish feature a series record of 9-8-3 in favor of Notre Dame.
•   Duke head coach
Robbie Church currently holds a record of 4-3-2 versus Notre Dame.
•   The last time the two teams played in Durham, Duke won 1-0 in overtime back in 2021. The winning goal was scored by
Michelle Cooper.
•   Notre Dame has outscored Duke 37-30 in the series.

SCOUTING THE IRISH
•   Notre Dame features a 5-1-2 ledger on the season, including a 1-0-0 mark in ACC action with a 3-1 victory over Wake Forest.

HEY, I KNOW YOU
•   Duke graduate student
Kati Druzina will face her former Notre Dame team where she played the last four seasons. Druzina transferred and over the summer and is attending the Duke Fuqua School of Business. She started her final 45 matches played at Notre Dame and played 54 contests over her three seasons she played. Druzina logged 3,151 minutes over three years and helped lead Notre Dame to 31 wins, a trip to the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals and the NCAA Tournament final 16.

Baleigh Bruster played with Notre Dame's Eva Wirtz with the TopHat club team out of Atlanta, Ga.

Leah Freeman was a club teammate with Notre Dame's Ellie Ospeck at Mustang Soccer Club. Thursday will mark the first time they have played against each other in college. They faced off a number of times in high school including a memorable match in 2020 – Ospeck's Carondelet squad was the No. 1 seed in the North Coast Section (NCS) and Freeman's Berkeley High team (No. 5 seed) upset Carondelet, 2-1, at Carondelet's home field, pushing the Yellow Jackets to its first (and still only) NCS championship game (Freeman had 17 saves in the match).
IN THE LAST MEETING
•   In a battle of two top-11 ranked teams in Notre Dame, Ind., No. 11 Duke tied No. 4 Notre Dame, 2-2, to conclude the regular season on Oct. 27.
•   Duke took a 1-0 lead in the 38th minute as
Michelle Cooper finished off a pass from
Jenna Royson.
•   The Irish were awarded a penalty kick and Korbin Albert finished in the 50th minute to even the match, 1-1.

Kat Rader blasted in a goal off assists from
Devin Lynch and
Maggie Graham in the 71st minute to give Duke a 2-1 lead, but Notre Dame tied the score in the 73rd minute.
LAGEYRE REGISTERS BRACE
•   Sophomore
Carina Lageyre registered a brace at Boston College in the ACC opener to push Duke past the Eagles, 2-0. Â
•   It marked her first two collegiate goals and the first multi-goal performance by the Blue Devils this season.
•   Lageyre was tabbed the ACC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 19, after her pair of tallies.
•   For her efforts, Lageyre was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week and Honorable Mention TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week.
BACK AT HOME
•   The Blue Devils will play their fifth home match of the 2023 campaign and features a 3-1 ledger in those contests this season.
•   Over the last seven seasons, the Blue Devils have totaled a 60-11-7 ledger at home.
•   In 23 years under the direction of head coach
Robbie Church, Duke owns a 168-43-29 record at home.
