DURHAM – The game times for Duke's first three games of the 2023 season and its game against Wake Forest are set, the ACC announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Blue Devils, led by 2022 ACC Coach of the Year Mike Elko, will open the season against Clemson on Monday, September 4 at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. and will air nationally on ESPN. It will be Duke's 12th season-opener against a conference opponent in the last 50 years and first since 2020 when the Blue Devils faced off against Notre Dame during a modified schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Duke then welcomes Lafayette to Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium on Saturday, September 9 for the second week of play. The non-conference game is set for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra and ESPN+.
For the seventh time over the last nine seasons, Duke and Northwestern will face off on Saturday, September 16 when the Wildcats make a return trip to Durham during week three. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m. on ACC Network.
Additionally, Duke will host Wake Forest at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff on Thursday, November 2. The game will air on ESPN.
Duke is the only team in the ACC to face nine or more opponents who played in a bowl game last year.
