DURHAM – Following its third consecutive ACC series victory over a top-15 opponent, Duke Baseball jumped to No. 10 in the
D1Baseball top-25 poll, after an impressive 4-1 week on the road.
The Blue Devils secured three more top-15 victories this past week, defeating No. 9 Campbell in Buies Creek, N.C., before taking two of three from No. 13 Virginia on the road to clinch the third consecutive top-15 series victory.
Duke finished the month of April with a 15-3 record, the most wins in the month of April under head coach
Chris Pollard. The top-10 ranking ties the second highest program ranking in history, one spot off the highest program ranking of No. 9 in 2018.
The Blue Devils have the week off due to exams and return to the diamond on May 7 against Longwood. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. from Jack Coombs Field.
In addition to the
D1Baseball poll, Duke was tabbed No. 9 by
Baseball America.
