Duke is coming off a 2-0 weekend in which it defeated No. 54 Clemson and No. 68 Georgia Tech to shift to 13-5 overall and 6-1 in ACC play. Earlier in the week, senior
Garrett Johns and freshman
Pedro Rodenas were tabbed the ACC Doubles Team of the Week after the No. 71 doubles duo clinched both doubles points last weekend, including a 7-6 (5) tiebreak win over No. 20 Andres Martin and Marcus McDaniel of Georgia Tech.

Johns and Rodenas also are ranked nationally in singles action with Johns securing the No. 17 spot and Rodenas coming in at No. 98. Johns currently holds a 10-7 dual ledger on Duke's top court, while Rodenas leads the team with a dual record of 16-2, including a 7-0 mark on court two.

In addition to Johns and Rodneas being ranked in doubles play, the senior duo of
Michael Heller and
Andrew Zhang also find themselves nationally ranked at No. 54.

HISTORY WITH NO. 16 WAKE FOREST
Friday's contest will be the 109th all-time meeting between the two programs with the Blue Devils holding the 85-23 edge on the series. Wake Forest brings an eight-match winning streak over Duke into the contest, including a 4-2 victory during the teams' last meeting. The Blue Devils last win over the Demon Deacons came in 2015 following a 4-3 triumph in Durham.

No. 16 Wake Forest sits at 21-6 on the year and 5-1 in ACC play. Senior Melios Efstathiou and graduate student Jurabek Karimov are listed in the latest ITA singles rankings coming in at No. 11 and No. 103, respectively. Six players have 10+ dual singles wins, including Efstathiou's mark of 13-2. In doubles action, the senior-junior duo of Juan Lopez De Azcona and Filippo Moroni are ranked No. 37 heading into the weekend.

HISTORY WITH NO. 23 NC STATE
The Blue Devils and Wolfpack have faced off 108 previous times with Duke leading the all-time series at 104-4. NC State is currently riding a two-match winning streak over Duke, including a 4-0 victory in Raleigh last season. Duke's last win against the Wolfpack came in 2018 following a 6-1 victory on the road.

NC State comes in at No. 23 in the latest ITA rankings and currently holds an 11-6 overall record, including a 5-1 ACC mark. The doubles duo of Robin Catry and Luca Staeheli were ranked No. 27, while Joseph Wayand and Rafa Izquierdo Luque were listed No. 40. On the singles side Izquierdo Luque (No. 52) and Staeheli (No. 73) also find themselves ranked. The Wolfpack are at North Carolina on Friday before traveling to face off against Duke on Sunday.
