Kaelyn Gridley and junior
Sarah Foley became the first set of Blue Devils to earn First Team All-America honors in program history on Saturday at the Allen Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tenn.
Gridley collected a sixth-place finish in the 200 Breaststroke Saturday evening, clocking a time of 2:06.26 to earn first team honors. Foley followed Gridley closely in the event, finishing ninth for Duke, posting a time of 2:06.58, the best in her heat.
The Blue Devils secured 42 points in the 2023 Women's NCAA Championships, paced by both Gridley and Foley with 20 points apiece. The 21st place finish is the highest finish for Duke since 2011 when the Blue Devils finished 19th.
