DURHAM – No. 14 Duke softball heads to Buies Creek, N.C., this weekend to compete against Rider, Wagner, Ohio and host Campbell in the Campbell Invitational.
 
The Blue Devils (9-3) are riding a six-game win streak after a strong showing in the TaxAct Clearwater Invitational last weekend and two wins over Charleston Southern during Wednesday's home-opening doubleheader.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Rider 
The Broncs and Blue Devils will face off for the first all-time meeting on Friday. Rider opens its season this weekend and is scheduled to battled Ohio on Friday before competing against Duke. Rider enters the 2023 season ranked seventh in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
 
Campbell
The Blue Devils lead the all-time series with the Fighting Camels, 4-1, including last season's 12-2 win in Buies Creek. Campbell brings a 6-4 record into the weekend and most recently defeated UNC Greensboro in a mid-week contest on Wednesday, 3-1. The Fighting Camels also have wins over East Tennessee State (2), Charlotte, Purdue, and Delaware.
 
Wagner
Saturday's contest with Wagner will mark the first meeting between the two teams. The Seahawks, led by sixth-year head coach Lindsey Ubrun, returns a veteran team that features five graduate students and four seniors. Wagner enters the weekend with 1-2 ledger on the season.
 
Ohio
Duke leads the all-time series, 1-0, after defeating the Bobcats 2-1 during the 2019 season. Ohio returns 14 members from last year's team that collected a 23-25 (17-10 MAC) record. The Bobcats were selected third in this year's MAC Preseason Poll.
 
NEXT UP
Duke welcomes NC Central for a doubleheader on Wednesday at Duke Softball Stadium. The first game is slated for 4 p.m. with the second to follow immediately after.
