Duke and Southern Indiana clash for the first time in program history, wrapping up the Blue Devil Challenge.
The Blue Devils opened their participation in the MTE with a 30-point win, 90-60, versus Bucknell on Nov. 17 and knocked off La Salle, 95-66, on Nov. 21
Southern Indiana is 0-2 in the event so far, losing by one point, 79-78, at La Salle, and falling at Bucknell, 67-56.
Southern Indiana is in its second year of Division I basketball, led by fourth-year head coach Stan Gouard -- who earned Division II National Player of the Year honors when playing for the university during his time as a student.
Last year, in their first year of Division I play, the Screaming Eagles earned a spot in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament and a spot in the College Basketball Invitational.
Against La Salle, Tyrese Proctorscored a career-high 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line.
Sean Stewarttallied the first double-double of his young career, playing 17 minutes off the bench and pouring in 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Duke is undefeated on Nov. 24, having won each of its eight previous games played on Nov. 24 -- including a 54-51 win over Oregon State last season.
Friday marks just the second game played at home on Nov. 24. The last instance was during the 2013-14 season -- a 91-90 win over Vermont.
Duke has held all five of its opponents so far this season below their scoring average. Southern Indiana enters Friday night averaging 63.8 points per game.

Turning Defense Into Offense
Duke has held each of its opponents below their scoring average so far this season and has finished with an advantage on the glass in four of its first five games.
In each of the last two games, the Blue Devils have reeled in 40+ rebounds and have averaged 41.0 boards across the last three contests.
On the offensive end of the floor, Duke has valued the ball while scoring 90+ with plenty of assists.
Against Bucknell and La Salle, the Blue Devils have finished with 23 and 21 assists, while committing just seven and five turnovers -- good for a total of 44 assists and just 12 turnovers and a 3.7 assist-turnover ratio.
The Blue Devils have scored over 90 points in each of their last two ballgames and have eclipsed the 90-point threshold three times in the first five games of the young season.
Tyrese Proctorhas spearheaded the offensive efforts, logging 14 assists with zero turnovers across the last three games. The sophomore guard has a total of 27 dimes and just four turnovers through five games, a 6.75 assist-turnover ratio -- which is 13th best nationally overall and leads all underclassmen in the country with at least 20 assists.
The Blue Devils Have Won Nearly 85% of Games at Cameron Indoor Stadium
Duke has posted an all-time record of 949-171 (.847) at Cameron Indoor, that included a 572-76 (.883) record under Coach K.Â
Duke has won more games at its current home venue than any team in college basketball.
Now in its 85th season as the home of the Blue Devils, Duke has averaged 11.1 wins since the venue opened January 6, 1940 -- a 36-27 win over Princeton.
Sellout Streak Still Staying Strong
Duke has sold out 510 consecutive games at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The last time Duke did not have a sellout at home was on Nov. 16, 1990, against Boston College.
The sellout figure is the longest current streak (by time) in either men's college basketball or the NBA.
Duke's record at Cameron during the sellout streak is 463-47 (.908).
Duke's Three-Point Streak
Duke has connected on at least one three-pointer in 1,194 straight games, the second-longest streak nationally.
It has been more than 30 years since Duke was held without a three-point field goal -- Dec. 30, 1989, versus Hawai'i.
