- Okananwa kick-started the burst with a tough finish through contact and then classmate Jadyn Donovan followed with back-to-back buckets of her own.
- Junior Reigan Richardson crashed the offensive glass for a tip in and Okananwa capped the run with an ankle-breaking crossover to pull the home team within seven.
- The fourth quarter saw Okananwa register seven of Duke's 12 fourth-quarter points, with the Blue Devils attempting to make a rally.
- Duke pulled within seven, 59-52, at the 3:34 mark following three the old-fashioned way from Okananwa.
