- Duke (3-0) enters the game after outlasting Columbia, 66-62, in its first road game of the season Tuesday night. Duke scored six of the game's eight points down the stretch to secure the win.

BUSY STRETCH COMING UP
- Starting with the exhibition against USA Basketball this past Sunday (Nov. 12), the Blue Devils embark on their busiest stretch of the season with four games in eight days.
- This week, Duke hosts Davidson (Nov. 16) in a midweek tilt before hitting the road for a tough non-conference test at No. 6 Stanford (Nov. 19).
- Duke picked up a tight, 66-62, win at Columbia Tuesday evening.
GETTING' BACK ON THE MAP: DUKE MAKIN' WAVES ON THE RECRUITING TRAIL
- Duke women's basketball unveiled its 2024 freshman class Thursday morning as the Blue Devils announced the signings of Louann Battiston, Jenessa Cotton, Toby Fournier and Arianna Roberson during the NCAA's early signing period.
- The Blue Devils landed a top-10 prospect for the second consecutive year and their seventh top-30 prospect in the past three.
- Battiston will enroll at Duke early and join the Blue Devils in January of 2024 to be on campus with the team. The trio of Cotton, Fournier and Roberson are slated to step foot in Durham later in 2024.
- With the early signing period set to wrap up on Nov. 15, the Blue Devils have all but locked up a top-10 recruiting class nationally with the potential for the class to be ranked higher, depending on how the rest of the week shakes out.
- According to the espnW recruiting rankings, as of Nov. 11, no team in women's college basketball has signed more players ranked in the top 30 over the last three seasons than Duke. The Blue Devils share the top spot with South Carolina having signed seven top-30 prospects each during this stretch, with UConn and UCLA right behind with six apiece.
A QUICK LOOK AT THE WILDCATS
- Davidson enters the week at 2-1 overall and is playing its third straight ACC opponent. The Wildcats hold wins over USC Upstate (86-51) and Wake Forest (57-52) but dropped a tightly-contested battle in their most recent contest at North Carolina, 74-70, on Sunday.
- The Wildcats are spearheaded by the tandem of Elle Sutphin and Charlise Dunn. Dunn averages 16.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg while Sutphin sits at 16.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg.
- On the offensive end, Davidson shoots at a .426 clip from the field while hitting just under a third of its three-point attempts (.329 percent). Defensively the Wildcats have been disruptive as they have forced their opponents into an average of 20 turnovers per game.
- Head coach Gayle Fulks is in her seventh season at the helm of the program, sporting an all-time record of 88-94.
SERIES HISTORY
- Thursday will be the seventh all-time meeting between the two North Carolina schools with five of the previous six matchups going the way of the Blue Devils. Duke has won all four games at Cameron Indoor Stadium while going 1-1 in Davidson.
- Duke has won five consecutive games against the Wildcats, including a 60-37 victory last season at John M. Belk Arena.
- In the 2022-23 matchup, the Blue Devils were led by Celeste Taylor's 14 points, four rebounds and two steals. Shayeann Day-Wilson and Jordyn Oliver also finished in double figures, scoring 12 and 10 points, respectively. Oliver led the efforts on the glass with eight boards, while Reigan Richardson tallied a team-best five assists.
LAST TIME OUT…
- Duke sophomore guard Ashlon Jackson scored four of her six points in the final 1:11 as the Blue Devils outscored Columbia, 6-2, down the stretch to secure a 66-62 victory over the Lions in women's basketball action Tuesday night at Levien Gymnasium.
- Sophomore Taina Mair led all Blue Devil scorers with 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the floor. Mair dished three assists, pulled in three rebounds and spearheaded Duke's defensive effort with three steals. Reigan Richardson and Kennedy Brown both dropped in 10 points apiece, while rookie Jadyn Donovan led the charge on the glass with seven boards.
- The freshman trio of Donovan, Oluchi Okananwa and Delaney Thomas combined for 19 points and 15 rebounds – the latter counting for just under 50 percent of the Blue Devils' production on the glass.
- Donovan scored eight points to go with her seven boards, Okananwa provided a spark off the bench with five points and six boards while Thomas chipped in six points and two rebounds.
- Duke forced Columbia into 21 turnovers, turning the takeaways into 20 points. The game featured five ties and four lead changes with the Blue Devils leading for nearly 30 minutes of the game.
