DURHAM – Duke baseball will partner with the Duke Children's Hospital this holiday season to collect new and unopened toys for those in need. The Drive for a Cause event will take place on Dec. 1 from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. at Jack Coombs Field.
Every toy that is donated will allow each kid, eighth grade or below, to receive a ticket for a round of batting practice on the field. The event will also feature additional stations to interact and spend time with the Duke baseball team and staff.
All kids participating in baseball activities on Friday must fill out a participation form. Families are encouraged to print and bring a hard copy the day of the event to speed up the check in process. Hard copies will also be provided on site.
