STORYLINES/OTHER BLUE DEVIL NOTES
•  Â
Kat Rader leads Duke with six goals on the season and she owns 18 over her short career. Since scoring goals in each of the first three matches, Rader has been limited to three goals over the last eight contests. She is coming off registering a penalty kick at Pitt Thursday.
•   Rader has tallied 10 of her 18 goals against ACC opponents over her short career. Â
•   Since the late loss to Notre Dame, the Duke offense has struggled. The Blue Devils have attempted only seven shots on goal and scored two goals. One of those goals was a penalty kick. In the last three matches, both of Duke's goals have come in the second half and all three opponents' goals have also come in the second.
•   Duke goalkeeper
Leah Freeman is coming off posting a season-high six saves at Pittsburgh. The Blue Devils allowed a season-high 20 shots by the Panthers.
•   Freshman

•  Â

Devin Lynch have connected for two goals off corner kicks this season (West Virginia and East Carolina).
•   Duke scored goals in the first half in the first three games for the first time since the 2017 season. In 2017, the Blue Devils totaled goals in the first half in each of the first seven matches. Â
•   In her first two seasons, when
Kat Rader scores, the Blue Devils feature a 12-3-1 ledger. She became just the sixth Blue Devil to register goals in each of her first three matches to start a season.

A WIN WOULD...
•   Snap a four-match winless streak for the Blue Devils.
•   Mark the first win at home against North Carolina in school history.
•   Be the third all-time against teams ranked No. 1 in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
IN UNFAMILIAR TERRITORY
•   Duke is on a four-match winless streak, which is the longest such streak for the Blue Devils since 2015. In 2015, Duke had two ties and two losses in a row, before snapping the streak at Miami.
•   The last time the Blue Devils had a longer than four-match winless streak was in 2013 when Duke had a six-match stretch.
THE INJURY BUG
•   Duke has featured different starting lineups in three out of the last four matches due to injuries.
•   In the Notre Dame match on Sept. 21, the Blue Devils lost their starting center backs --
Emily Royson and
Baleigh Bruster -- to injuries. Both were not on the pitch when the Irish rallied for a pair of goals to win the match.
•   Senior
Olivia Migli was also lost late in the Notre Dame match with an injury as well.
•   All three missed the NC State match on Sept. 24 and are listed as day-to-day. Â
•   Bruster made her return at Virginia and played the full 90 minutes, but Royson and Migli have missed the last three matches.
•   Senior
Grace Watkins also missed the Virginia match due to an injury suffered in practice, but came off the bench at Pittsburgh.
