DURHAM – A trio of Duke women's soccer standouts –
Leah Freeman,
Kat Rader and
Cameron Roller – have been listed in the top-100 midseason lists, which were released by TopDrawerSoccer this week.
Rader was ranked No. 45, while Freeman was No. 69 in the nation, while Roller earned a listing of No. 66 in the freshman rankings.
A native of Stuart, Fla., Rader owns a team-best seven goals on the season and 19 over her first two years with the Blue Devils. She has started all 13 matches this season and owns 16 points and three game-winning goals. One of the best finishes in the collegiate game, Rader has totaled eight career game-winning tallies and five multi-goal performances.
In her first season with the Blue Devils, Freeman has been impressive in goal with four shutouts and 37 saves in 12 starts. Freeman, who is from Berkeley, Calif., has registered 16 saves over the last three matches for the Blue Devils. Over her career, Freeman has notched 22 shutouts between her time with Oregon and Duke.
One of the top freshmen in the nation, Roller came into the season coming off an injury. After missing the first three matches, she has made an immediate impact with the Blue Devils on defense. Roller, who hails from Sherman, Texas, has been a part of four shutouts and recently collected her first collegiate assist as she served in the ball on the game-tying goal by
Kat Rader against top-ranked North Carolina.
Duke will next travel to Blacksburg, Va., to face Virginia Tech Thursday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m.
