Offseason Update: FIH Pro League and 2023 Spring Slate
Blue Devils Going International with Team USA
It has been an exciting 2023 so far for Duke field hockey as a trio of Blue Devils have been selected to represent the United States on the international stage.
Senior
Hannah Miller headlines the group, earning a spot on the USA Field Hockey Indoor National Team for the upcoming 2023 FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup (IHWC). Miller is one of 14 players selected by coach Jun Kentwell. The IWHC takes place Feb. 5-11 in Pretoria, South Africa.
Former Blue Devils
Leah Crouse and
Jillian Wolgemuth recently were two of 24 players named to the roster that will head to New Zealand and Australia for the United States' first leg of the 2022-23 FIH Hockey Pro League season. The No. 16 USWNT will play eight matches, two against No. 2 Argentina, No. 3 Australia, No. 9 New Zealand and No. 10 China each. Action runs from Feb. 16-March 5 with the first four matches being played in New Zealand and the final four in Australia.

Palde Preps for U-21 Selection Camp
Sophomore
Josephine Palde will make the short trip to Charlotte in a couple weeks eyeing a spot on the U-21 Junior Pan American Championship travel roster. Palde, selected to the initial roster following a selection camp in early January, will spend Feb. 17-20 at Queens University with a roster bid on the line.
From the selection camp, a squad will be named to represent USA at the 2023 Junior Pan American Championship from April 10 to 18 in Saint Michael, Barbados at the Wildey Hockey Centre located in the Sir Garfield Sobers Sports Complex. This junior men's and women's event is a qualified for the 2023 FIH Hockey Junior World Cup.
2023 Spring Slate Set
Duke's 2023 spring schedule is set as the Blue Devils prepare to play a host of games across four weekends. The Blue Devils open action March 25, hosting a full day of field hockey with Wake Forest, UNC, Old Dominion and Liberty. Play runs from 9 am – 3 pm and a firm schedule will be released as it gets closer.
Duke travels to William & Mary April 1 for a noon first hit. Two weeks later, the Blue Devils travels back to Virginia to take on the Cavaliers and Ohio State April 15-16. Duke closes out spring action April 21, hosting Stanford at 6 p.m.

Blue Devils Hit the Books Hard
Duke field hockey once again excelled in the classroom, finishing the fall semester with a 3.571 team GPA. Sophomore
Issy Carey stood out on the team, earning Dean's List with Distinction honors.
