DURHAM - The No. NR/22 Duke swimming and diving program returns to action on Saturday, January 14 at 11 a.m. as they welcome the No. 5/4 ranked NC State Wolfpack to the Taishoff Aquatic Center for senior day. The Blue Devils' women enter the meet at 4-0 on the season, while the men bring a 2-2 record into the new year. The meet will broadcast live on ACCNX.
NOTABLES
- The Blue Devils will recognize 21 graduating student-athletes on Saturday morning prior to the start of the meet.
- The four straight dual meet victories by the women's team are the most since the 2021-22 season when they began the year with six straight dual meet victories.
- Junior swimmer Sarah Foley broke the school record for the 100-yard breaststroke at the NC State Invite on Nov. 18, 2022. She posted a time of 59.39, breaking her previous mark of 59.62.
- Foley and freshman Kaelyn Gridley currently hold the seventh and eighth-fastest times in the ACC for the 50-yard breaststroke event.
- Senior Emma Shuppert is sixth in the ACC in the 50-backstroke, posting a time of 24.27.
- At the NC State Invite, junior David Chang and sophomore Jack Christian posted two top-10 performances in program history in the 100-yard backstroke. Chang swam a time of 48.39 for seventh, while Christian clocked a time of 48.50 for 10th all-time.
