NEED TO KNOW
•   Koskinen Stadium will feature a top-three matchup on Thursday, Sept. 1 as No. 2 Duke (4-0) hosts No. 3 UCLA (3-0) at 7:30 p.m. The match will be aired on ACC Network Extra with Dean Linke and Cedric Burke calling the action.
•   Thursday's match versus UCLA will be part of a doubleheader as the men's soccer team will host Michigan at 5 p.m. It will also mark K9s in Koskinen. Dogs will enter for free. Â
•   Duke is set to embark on one of the most difficult stretches in regular season history for the Blue Devils. On Thursday, Sept. 1, Duke will face No. 3 UCLA (3-0) followed by a road contest Sunday, Sept. 4 at No. 6 TCU (3-0-1), before hosting top-ranked North Carolina (4-0) on Thursday, Sept. 8.
•   Duke has won two straight matches at home against top-five ranked opponents -- No. 1 FSU in 2021 and No. 3 Clemson in 2020-21. Â
•   In the lone match without
Michelle Cooper, the Blue Devils won, 1-0, at ECU, but since her return, Duke has scored 10 goals over its last three matches.

•   In three matches back with the Blue Devils,
Michelle Cooper has tallied two assists and two goals. She assisted on the game-winner against UNCG and Tennessee, while notching the game-tying goal versus the Lady Vols.

Katie Groff is coming off a big week with an assist at Tennessee along with a goal and assists versus Charlotte, while helping the Duke defense notch a shutout versus the 49ers.
•   Blue Devil senior
Ruthie Jones will play in her 50th career match as a Duke goalkeeper on Thursday.
•   Duke has scored at least one goal in 17 straight matches, which is the fourth-longest streak in school history - 26 in 1994-95, 20 in 2003-04 & 2017.

THE UCLA SERIES
•   Duke and UCLA will meet for the seventh time in school history on Thursday with the Bruins leading the series with a 4-1-1 ledger.
•   The Blue Devils last win against the Bruins was back in September of 1996 in Chapel Hill during the Carolina Classic (2-1).
•   In its last meeting, Duke and UCLA remained scoreless after double overtime, before UCLA advanced, 4-3, after penalty kicks in the semifinals of the 2017 NCAA College Cup.
