DURHAM – The Duke men's and women's golf programs closed their respective 2021-22 campaigns this month and eclipsed $11,001.20 earnings for the Birdies for Babies program, which benefits the Duke Children's Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units.
Both programs combined to collect 1,180 birdies and 30 eagles over the course of the 2021-22 season.
Closing year five of the Birdies for Babies program, which raises money to go towards the Duke Children's Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units, the Blue Devils have brought in a total of $79,339.20.
The program will still be accepting donations even though the season wrapped up recently.
Looking ahead to next season, the programs graduate only one starter between the two squads. Both head coach

Dan Brooks of the women's squad feature a solid recruiting classes and should be national championship contenders in 2022-23.
Those looking to support Duke's partnership with Duke Children's can make pledges per birdie. Pledges will start at $0.50 and high pledge increments are welcome. If the Blue Devils register an eagle (counts as two birdies), albatross (three birdies) and hole-in-one (four birdies) they will count as stated.
