DURHAM – The White team topped the Blue squad, 28-14, in Duke's Blue & White Game on Saturday night at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.

With the game tied at 14-14 heading into the fourth quarter, sophomore quarterback Jordan Moore led the White team to two late touchdowns to ensure the come-from-behind win. On the score that broke the tie, Moore rushed for 56 of the 75 yards during the drive to help set up a redshirt junior Jaylen Coleman's 11-yard touchdown scamper. The next time the offense for the White squad was on the field, Moore connected with senior Eli Pancolfor a 24-yard catch-and-score to ultimately secure the win.

Moore finished 9-of-24 passing for 97 yards with two touchdowns and added 91 rushing yards on 12 carries. Pancol led the White team's receiving corps with 54 yards on five receptions.

Fellow classmate and quarterback Riley Leonard led the Blue squad and threw for 246 yards with one touchdown on 17-of-27 passing. His main target was Sahmir Hagans, who finished his night with six receptions for 82 yards with one score.

The Blue team opened the scoring in the first quarter after sophomoreJaquez Moore found paydirt from 28-yards out. The White team responded in the second quarter as Leonard led a lengthy 11 play, 74-yard drive that spanned over six minutes to tie the game at 7-7. Rookie running back Terry Moore scored on a seven-yard rush to cap the drive. He finished with 66 yards on 12 carries.

With the game all knotted up at 7-7, the White team pulled in front midway through the third quarter after Moore found Cole Finney in the back of the endzone. The Blue team would not go away though, as Hagans tied the contest following his eight-yard touchdown reception on a pass from Leonard with two minutes left in the frame.

The White team held the Blue squad scoreless for the final 15 minutes while Coleman and Pancol recorded touchdowns to secure the win.

Defensively, sophomore linebacker Tre Freeman led all Blue Devils with nine tackles, one interception and one pass breakup for the Blue team. Joining him on the Blue squad was sophomore Aaron Halland rookie defensive backChandler Rivers, who tallied five and four tackles, respectively. Rivers added a team-high two pass breakups as well.

Junior Jaylen Stinson and redshirt senior Shaka Heyward led the winning side with four tackles each. Stinson also chipped in with a fumble recovery, while sophomore Trent Broadnaxrecorded two forced fumbles.

To wrap up the fun filled day, the Duke players and staff hosted a meet and greet with fans on the field postgame.

The Blue & White Game was the Blue Devils' final workout of the 15 spring practices dates allotted by the NCAA. The Blue Devils now turn their attention to their 2022 season opener against Temple on Friday, Sept. 2 at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.
