DURHAM – No. 19 Duke men's tennis has two top-20 matchups this weekend as it travels to No. 20 N.C. State and No. 8 Wake Forest to close out the regular season.

The Blue Devils first meet up with the Wolfpack on Friday at 6 p.m. at J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center, before traveling to Winston-Salem, N.C, on Sunday for a meeting with the Demon Deacons at 2 p.m. at Wake Forest Tennis Center.

Garrett Johns has been impressive during his junior campaign and continues to find himself listed in the ITA rankings. Heading into the weekend, Johns is the No. 43 ranked singles player after posting an 11-5 mark in dual action. He holds a 7-3 record against national ranked opponents as well.

Friday's contest will be Duke's sixth top-20 matchup this season and will be the 108th all-time meeting with the Wolfpack.

SCOUTING THE WOLFPACK
N.C. State has strung together three consecutive wins, including a 5-2 victory over No. 67 Clemson during its last outing. The Wolfpack currently hold a 16-7 overall record and a 5-5 mark in ACC play. Junior Robin Catry and senior Rafa Izquierdo Luque are listed in the latest ITA rankings, with Catry coming in at No. 101 in singles action and Luque at No. 116. In doubles play, Catry and teammate Luca Staeheli are ranked No. 38, while the junior-freshman tandem of Martins Rocen and Fons Van Sambeek come in at No. 58.

HISTORY WITH WAKE FOREST
Duke leads the all-time series with Wake Forest, 85-22, but the Demon Deacons have won seven straight over the Blue Devils, including a 4-0 victory in the 2021 ACC Championship quarterfinal during the teams' last outing. The Blue Devils last defeated Wake Forest on March 22, 2015, when they registered a 4-3 victory in Durham.
SCOUTING THE DEMON DEACONS
Wake Forest holds a 27-5 record and a 9-1 mark in ACC action to make the Demon Deacons the No. 8 ranked team nationally heading into the weekend. Wake Forest is riding a five-match winning streak, having not lost since a 4-1 decision to No. 11 Virginia on March 27th. Three singles players and two doubles pairs were listed in the latest ITA rankings. Fifth-year Eduardo Nava is ranked No. 54 in singles action and has posted an 18-6 mark in dual play. Sophomore Filippo Moroni and graduate student Jurabek Karimov come in at No. 77 and No. 115, respectively. In doubles play, Siddhant Banthia and Jakob Schnaitter are ranked No. 29, while Moroni and Nava come in as the No. 69 ranked doubles duo.

The Demon Deacons will face off against No. 17 North Carolina and Pfeiffer on Friday for a doubleheader before meeting up with the Blue Devils on Sunday.
