DURHAM – No. 14 Duke softball (23-5, 8-2 ACC) is set for a midweek doubleheader, traveling in-state to matchup with East Carolina on Wednesday at 4 p.m., and 6 p.m., at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium, in Greenville, N.C.
Both games against the Pirates (18-13, 2-1 AAC) will be streamed on ESPN Plus, with the second game to shortly follow the conclusion of the opener.
Last Time Out
Duke battled the elements all weekend, but only managed to get one game in, dropping the lone matchup, 8-1, to Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., before the remaining two games were canceled due to poor weather conditions. Graduate student Rachel Crabtree kept her hot streak going with the lone RBI in the loss to the Fighting Irish, but the Blue Devils couldn't recover from an early deficit, followed by a nearly two-and-a-half-hour rain delay.
