DURHAM – The Duke women's golf team will return to the course this weekend as the Blue Devils head to the West Coast to compete in the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge on March 13-15. The event will be played at the 6,017-yard, par-71 Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.
Seeing action this week will be Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, California, Duke, Georgetown, Kent State, Ohio State, Oregon, Pepperdine, Southern California, Texas, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Wake Forest.
Teams will play 18 holes each day and fans can follow the action live on www.GolfStat.com.
Duke will compete in the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge for the 11th time in school history with the Blue Devils coming off notching its only win in 2020 with rounds of 291, 273 and 283 for an 847. In 2017, 2016, 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2005, Duke carded top-5 finishes. Three different Duke golfers have won an individual title at the event as Leona Maguire (2017), Lindy Duncan (2012) and Brittany Lang (2005) hoisted the trophy.

Erica Shepherd, sophomore
Phoebe Brinker, sophomore
Anne Chen and freshman
Rylie Heflin. With
Gina Kim turning professional, Duke features a roster this spring without any seniors for only the second time over the last 23 years. The only other time was in the 2011-12 campaign.
Tee times are expected to start at 12 p.m., (ET) off No. 1 and No. 10. On Tuesday for the final round, there will be a shotgun start beginning at 11 a.m. (ET).
