DURHAM – Eight Blue Devils were named to the 2022 Academic All-District® Football Team, selected by College Sports Communicators.

Graham Barton, graduate student center
Jack Burns, graduate student kicker/holder
Jackson Hubbard, graduate student defensive back
Darius Joiner, sophomore quarterback
Riley Leonard, sophomore wide receiver
Jordan Moore, sophomore defensive back
Joshua Pickett and redshirt junior punter
Porter Wilson all received honors. Hubbard garnered acknowledgement for the second consecutive season.

Duke was joined by Clemson (two), Florida State (five), Georgia Tech (one), Louisville (two), North Carolina (two), Pittsburgh (one), Virginia (three), Virginia Tech (one), and Wake Forest (four) as ACC programs with at least one selection this season.

To be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must be a starter or key reserve, achieve sophomore standing at their current school, maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 and be nominated by his sports information director.

By virtue of their placement on the all-district team, all eight will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees being announced in mid-December.
