DURHAM – With the Blue Devils' fall coming to a close, the Duke women's lacrosse program shines its spotlight on its freshman class, this week with
Ava Biancardi.
A product of East Northport, N.Y.,
Ava Biancardi comes to Duke from Saint Anthony's High School where she was a midfielder and attacker.
She was named a 2022 USA Lacrosse All-American after she tallied 39 goals and 13 assists during her senior year. She tallied numerous awards during her final high school season, including 2022 NSCHSAA Player of the Year and 2022 NSCHSAA All League award. During her junior campaign, she registered 36 goals and 17 assists for 53 points and was ranked in the class of 2022 top 50 girls lacrosse players by ILWomen.
A two-time Under Armour tournament finalist, Biancardi was also ranked in the top 100 players on Long Island by her hometown newspaper.
Biancardi joins six other Blue Devils in the
freshman class.
