DURHAM – Los Angeles Rams offensive linemanMatt Skura and New York Jets offensive linemanLaken Tomlinson highlighted the nine former Blue Devils that appeared in the 11th week of play in the National Football League.
In New Orleans, Skura started and played in all 64 offensive snaps for the Rams on Sunday. Los Angeles rushed for 148 yards on the ground and added 223 through the air.
Skura's former Duke offensive line teammate, Tomlinson, started and played in all 50 snaps for the Jets. Former Blue Devils safetyMichael Carter II and long snapper Thomas Hennessy also saw action for New York. Carter II recorded five tackles and broke up one pass, while Hennessey helped kicker Nick Folk register a 24-yard field goal.
Los Angeles Chargers linebackerChris Rumph II and Chicago Bears rookie wide receiverJosh Blackwell both saw action for their respective teams on Sunday as well.
In addition, in East Rutherford on Sunday afternoon, New York Giants quarterbackDaniel Jonescompleted 27-of-44 pass attempts, tallying 341 yards through the air, as the Giants fell to the Detroit Lions, 31-18. The former Blue Devils' quarterback added 50 yards on the grounds, and finished with one passing and one rushing touchdown on the day.
