NEED TO KNOW
•   Duke will host the NCAA Second and Round of 16 of the NCAA Tournament Nov. 18 and Nov. 20 as the Blue Devils welcome No. 13 South Carolina, No. 16 Texas and Harvard to Durham, N.C. Third-seeded South Carolina will open action against sixth-seeded Harvard on Nov. 18 at 4 p.m., while second-seeded Duke will host seventh-seeded Texas on Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Both matches will be aired live on ESPN+ from Koskinen Stadium. Â
•   Dean Linke will be calling the action for ESPN+.
•   The two advancing teams on Friday will move on to the Round of 16 on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m., in Durham.
•   Duke is making its 28th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and enter as a top-16 national seed for the seventh time out of the last eight seasons. Â
•   It marks the first time in school history Duke has earned a No. 2 seed, after receiving a No. 1 seed three times and No. 3 seed on five occasions.
•   Duke is 6-0 all-time in home NCAA Second Round matches.
•   In NCAA Tournament matches being played in Durham, N.C., the Blue Devils boast a 26-3-1 record. On the 2022 season, Duke has collected a 7-3 ledger at home.
•   In 37 matches played at Duke,
Michelle Cooper has tallied at least a goal or assist in 27 of those contests.
STORYLINES/OTHER BLUE DEVIL NOTES
•   Two of the top scorers in the nation will hit the pitch Friday in the second round with Duke's
Michelle Cooper (15 goals) and Texas' Trinity Byars (17 goals).

•   With South Carolina arriving in Durham for the second round, Duke junior
Nicky Chico will be reunited with her sister, Emily, who is a freshman on the Gamecocks squad.

Michelle Cooper is the only player in the nation to rank in the top-10 in goals (15), assists (11) and points (41).
•   A total of eight teams that remain in the 2022 NCAA Tournament feature sister tandems -- Arkansas, Duke, Harvard, North Carolina, Santa Clara, Stanford, UC Irvine and Vanderbilt. Duke's Jenna and

Maggie Graham own the most combined starts among sisters this season (77).

Kat Rader scores this season, the Blue Devils feature a 9-0-1 ledger. Duke is 8-1-1 this season and 18-1-1 over the last two years when

•   In the latest NCAA RPI, Duke is seventh with its four losses coming to No. 1 Florida State, No. 3 UCLA, No. 5 North Carolina, No. 10 Virginia. The Blue Devils' schedule is currently ranked the toughest nationally by the NCAA.
THE SERIES WITH TEXAS
•   Duke and Texas will meet for the fifth time in school history with the Blue Devils leading the series, 3-1.
•   The two teams last met on Nov. 19, 2017 in Durham in the NCAA Tournament Round of 16. Duke collected a 3-0 victory.
•   All three Blue Devil wins in the series have come in Durham, N.C. (2017, 2003, 1995). Â
SCOUTING THE LONGHORNS
•   Texas has turned in an impressive season with a 15-2-4 ledger, including a 7-0-2 mark in Big 12 play.
•   The Longhorns are ranked tied for fifth in the NCAA with 54 goals and feature Trinity Byars, who owns 17 goals. Lexi Missimo owns 15 assists, which ranks tied for second nationally.
DUKE VS. THE BIG 12
•   Duke owns an all-time record of 8-7-1 record against teams from the Big 12 -- Baylor (1-1), Kansas (0-1), Oklahoma State (1-1), Texas (3-1), TCU (1-0) and West Virginia (2-3-1). Â
•   Head coach
Robbie Church has registered a 6-6-1 ledger versus Big 12 opponents.
•   Earlier this season, Duke went on the road and notched a 3-1 victory at No. 6 TCU.
PARKING FOR FRIDAY
•   Due to the Duke men's basketball contest Friday evening against Delaware, parking will be more of a challenge for soccer fans attending the second-round games.
•   Guests attending the NCAA Soccer games on Friday can find general public parking in the Jogging Trail Lot on NC 751/Cameron Blvd., and Circuit Lots on Circuit Drive. Parking passes may be purchased ahead of time for $20 at my.parking.duke.edu with a NetID or as a guest. Cash Parking is available for $25 at Circuit Lot. Cash will not be accepted at the Jogging Trail. All general public parking will be open beginning at 2:00 PM.
A LOOK AT HARVARD
•   Harvard enters the NCAA Tournament second round with a 12-1-3 ledger and won four straight matches under the direction of head coach Chris Hamblin (6th season).
•   The Crimson have been led on the season by Hannah Bebar (6 goals, 8 assists) and Hannah Griffin (5 goals, 7 assists).
•   Harvard defeated New Hampshire, 2-0, in the first round.
•   Duke and Harvard have never met in school history.
A LOOK AT SOUTH CAROLINA
•   South Carolina enters the second round with a 14-3-5 record under the direction of head coach Shelley Smith (22nd season).
•   The Gamecocks have been paced by Catherine Barry (8 goals, 7 assists) and Heather Hinz (13 shutouts in goal).
•   South Carolina knocked off Wake Forest, 2-0, in the first round.
•   Duke and South Carolina have met four times in school history with Duke leading the series (2-1-1). The Blue Devils and gamecocks met in exhibition action earlier this season in Durham with Duke winning, 2-1.
