DURHAM – New York Jets cornerbackMichael Carter II and Arizona Cardinals linebackerVictor Dimukeje highlighted the 10 former Blue Devils that appeared in the eighth week of play in the National Football League.
On Sunday afternoon in East Rutherford, N.J., Carter II tallied seven solo tackles, including one tackle for loss, one pass defended and one interception against the New England Patriots. The former Blue Devils safety intercepted quarterback Mac Jones in the second quarter as the Patriots were driving to tie the game. Offensive linemanLaken Tomlinsonand long snapperThomas Hennessey both started and appeared for the Jets on Sunday as well. Hennessey helped the special teams unit go a perfect 3-of-3 on PATs with one 28-yard field goal in the 22-17 loss.
In Minneapolis, Dimukeje recorded two tackles against the Minnesota Vikings in the Cardinals 34-26 loss. He now has 14 tackles on the year.
