DURHAM – The Duke fencing program opens the 2022-23 campaign ranked on both the men's and women's side, as announced in the preseason poll by the United States Fencing Coaches' Association (USFCA).
The men check in at No. 7 in the nation while the women are tabbed No. 10. 2022 reigning NCAA Champion Notre Dame took the top spot in the men's poll, followed by No. 2 Columbia and No. 3 Ohio State. No. 1 Princeton, No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 3 Columbia make up the women's top three.
The Blue Devils are coming off a successful 2021-22 season and looks to carry that momentum with them.

Alex Beguinet's squad returns six of last year's seven NCAA qualifiers and all six ACC individual medalists.
Duke kicks off the 2022-23 season this weekend at the M. Garret Collegiate Open in State College, Pa.
