QUOTES
- "I thought we were excellent in the first half. And I felt that Notre Dame came out with a lot of energy and a lot of purpose in the second half. They made it difficult for us, and it was good to be in a position where we had a goal lead. I thought we had a couple of chances to get that second goal earlier, but was really happy once the second goal went in." – John Kerr on Duke's offensive efforts during the game.
- "It's the ACC. Every team we play at some point is going to get possession and momentum … we knew we were going to have a chance as long as we kept a clean sheet. And shout out to our defense for keeping the game going and making the tackles. We knew the moment was going to come and when it came, we were ready and we took the opportunity to get a second goal." – Shak Mohammed on his two-goal night.
UP NEXT
- Duke returns to Koskinen Stadium for their final non-conference game of the season, taking on George Washington on Tuesday, Oct. 18. First touch is scheduled for 7 p.m., with streaming available on ACC Network Extra.
