DURHAM – Duke cross country wraps up regular season competition in The Badger State this weekend, as the Blue Devils head to Madison, Wis., for the Nuttycombe Invitational slated for Oct. 14 at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course.
MEET INFORMATION
- The women's 6K race (1:20 p.m. ET) opens action for the Blue Devils, with the men's 8K to follow at 2 p.m. ET
- Duke will compete amid a loaded field featuring 41 teams ranked in the top 30 – 21 on the men's side and 20 for the women, including the top-two ranked men's (No. 1 Northern Arizona, No. 2 State) and women's (No. 1 NC State and No. 2 BYU) squads nationally.

WHAT TO KNOW
- Dalia Frias garnered ACC Freshman of the Week honors for a second time this season, after a solid showing at the Paul Short Run.
- Frias earned the distinction for the second time in as many meets as she was the top women's finisher among all ACC true freshmen, while also posting the second-fastest time for the Duke women in the 6K race. The Hermosa Beach, Calif., native placed 41st via a finish of 20:18.3.
- The Blue Devil women will be represented by Emily Cole, Anna Corcoran, Karly Forker, Frias, Katie Hamilton, Amina Maatoug and Ashlyn Ramos.
- On the men's side, the Duke lineup consists of Matyas Csiki-Fejer, Nick Dahl, Owen MacKenzie Zach Kinne, Jared Kreis, Sam Rivera and Chris Theodore.
LAST TIME OUT
- Maatoug's runner-up finish in the women's 6K race headlined a morning of racing for Duke cross country at the Paul Short Run.
- Maatoug posted the top overall finish for the Blue Devils, men or women, clocking 19:34.6 to finish second among the women's 416-member field.
- In the team standings, the Duke men checked in at fifth in the 8K race with 157 points, while the women totaled 321 points to finish 10th on the 6K course.
- The top-five finishers for the Blue Devil men were Csiki-Fejer (23:20.6), Kinne (23:25.0), Chris Theodore (23:25.2), Rivera (23:36.4) and Austin Gabay (23:44.4).
- Frias, Ramos, (20:23.3), Cole (20:56.3) and Forker 20:58.0) rounded out the top-five women's runners for Duke.
- Fourteen Duke runners notched personal bests on the 6K and 8K courses. The men's side included Csiki-Fejer, Dahl, Will Dixon (24:14.7), Carter Dillon (24:25.9), Gabay, Kinne, Rivera and Theodore.
- Cole, Folker, Katie Hamilton (20:59.4), Ramos and Kelli Wilson (21:53.7) were the runners to register PRs for the women.

- The Blue Devils return to the Panorama Farms course in Charlottesville, Va., to open postseason competition at the ACC Championships on Friday, Oct. 28.
