- The ACC Freshman of the Week for the fifth time, Paolo Banchero has recorded back-to-back double-doubles. He leads all true freshmen nationally in scoring (17.9) and his eight 20-point efforts lead all power conference true freshmen.
- Banchero is the ACC's fifth leading scorer and he is the league's only player averaging 20+ points in conference games (20.0).
- Sophomore Mark Williams is ninth nationally and leads the ACC in blocked shots (3.28). He is 21-of-27 (.778) from the field over Duke's last three games and averaging 16.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.0 blocks in that span.
- One of the ACC's best on-ball defenders, junior Wendell Moore Jr. is allowing opposing players to shoot just .346 from the field and .258 from three-point range when he is the primary defender.
- Freshman AJ Griffin is shooting .466 from three-point range this season and .469 (15-of-32) in conference play. He is coming off a career-best five made triples against Syracuse and has hit 21 threes over Duke's last 10 games (made six in Duke's first eight games).
DUKE VS. CLEMSON
Duke and Clemson are meeting for the 145th time in a series that dates to the 1925-26 season, with the Blue Devils leading 112-32 … In Durham, the Blue Devils lead the series 64-4 (61-4 at Cameron Indoor) and have won 19 consecutive home games in the series … Coach K achieved a pair of his milestone victories over Clemson -- No. 100 overall came February 24, 1982 in triple overtime, 73-72, and No. 600 at Duke came January 3, 2004, 73-54.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Clemson is 11-8 overall and 3-5 in the ACC. The Tigers snapped a three-game skid with a 75-48 win over Pittsburgh on Saturday … PJ Hall leads four Tigers that are averaging in double figures with 14.8 points and 5.8 rebounds. David Collins is third in scoring (11.5), but leads the team on the boards (6.8) while shooting a team-best .534 from the field … The Tigers are the ACC's second best three-point shooting team at .384 for the year, led by Al-Amir Dawes' .410 percentage, which also ranks second in the league.
ON THIS DATE
Duke is 12-6 all-time when playing on Jan. 25 and has won eight of 10 … Coach K has won a pair of milestone games on Jan. 25 -- winning his 900th Duke game in 2014 vs. Florida State at Cameron Indoor and becoming the first Division-I coach to 1,000 career victories in 2015 over St. John's at Madison Square Garden.

Duke enters the game with the nation's third best assist/turnover ratio of 1.72. The Blue Devils also rank top 15 nationally and lead the ACC in field goal shooting (.494, ranked 14th) and assists (18.0, ranked sixth) … Duke has had a positive assist/turnover ratio in 16 of 18 games -- its only games with a negative ratio came in wins over Kentucky (9 turnovers, 8 assists) and Virginia Tech (11, 10) … The Blue Devils posted their best assist percentage in Saturday's win over Syracuse, dishing out 25 assists on 30 made field goals (83 percent). Duke leads the ACC and is 11th nationally in blocked shots per game (5.8), paced by the ACC blocks leader, sophomore
Mark Williams, who is ninth nationally with 3.28 blocks per game … As a team, Duke has finished ranked 42nd or better nationally in blocks in each of the last five seasons, including leading the nation in 2018-19 (6.8) and finishing second nationally in 2019-20 (6.1) … Only one power conference player has more rejections than Williams' 59 and his 6.16 blocks per 40 minutes rank third among power conference players … Williams had blocked 20 shots over Duke's previous four games (before Syracuse), joining Mike Gminski and Shelden Williams as the only other Blue Devils to accomplish that in history … Williams has blocked 14.8 percent of opponents' shots, the fifth best percentage in the NCAA … Williams has multiple blocks in 15 of 18 games this season ...
