DURHAM – A pair of former Blue Devils saw their respective teams advance from the divisional round to the conference finals of the National Football League over the weekend.
Offensive lineman Laken Tomlinson started at left guard and played every offensive snap for the San Francisco 49ers, helping lead them to a 13-10 victory at top-seeded Green Bay.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Noah Gray helped the Chiefs overcome the Buffalo Bills in overtime, 42-36. Gray, a rookie, recorded two receptions for 14 yards in the contest.
The Chiefs will host the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship on Sunday at 3 p.m., followed by the 49ers traveling to the Los Angeles Rams for the NFC Championship at 6:30 p.m.
