DURHAM – Reigning Super Bowl Champion Ross Cockrell put together a strong showing on Sunday to lead the nine former Blue Devils that were in action during the third week of regular season play in the National Football League.

Cockrell boasted two pass breakups and four tackles in Tampa Bay's loss at the Los Angeles Rams.

Fellow defensive back and rookie cornerback Michael Carter II started for the New York Jets again this week, tallying six tackles in the loss to Denver Broncos.

Rookies linebacker Chris Rumph II (Los Angeles Chargers) and tight end Noah Gray (Kansas City Chiefs) faced off with one another at Arrowhead Stadium. Rumph II totaled three tackles to assist the Chargers to a 30-24 win over their hosts. Gray recorded one reception for five yards, his first career NFL reception.
