DURHAM – Duke women's tennis will participate in two events this weekend, with some going to the Fall Ranked Spotlight, hosted by NC State in Cary, N.C., while others will compete in the Kitty Harrison Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C. The Fall Ranked Spotlight will run from Sept. 23-26, while the Kitty Harrison Invitational will go from Sept. 24-26.

The Blue Devils will face off against opponents from host NC State, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Princeton, South Carolina, Tennessee, UCF, USC, and Virginia in Cary, N.C.

Thursday: Two rounds of doubles: Times of 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m.
Friday: Two rounds of singles (best of three sets): Times of 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m.
Saturday: Two rounds of singles (main draw and consolation will be best of three sets, other matches are two sets with a 10-point tiebreaker): Times of 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m.
Sunday: One round of singles and doubles (championship and consolation finals are best of three sets, while other matches are two sets with a 10-point tiebreaker): Times of 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 12 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Blue Devils competed at the Furman Invitational and saw strong performances from the new freshmen. It was a quick start to the collegiate careers of
Ellie Coleman and
Emma Jackson, as Coleman won her first singles and doubles matches against ranked opponents, beating No. 22 Emma Antonaki of Mississippi State, 6-2, 6-2, while teaming up with Beck to defeat No. 41 Antonaki/Tamara Racine, also of Mississippi State, 6-2. Jackson made waves of her own, winning the second flight of singles, defeating No. 29 Ayana Akli of South Carolina, 6-3, 6-4, along the way.

WELCOME BACK
The Blue Devils are back in action following a successful 2020-21 season. Duke compiled a record of 18-7 and 9-4 in the ACC, reaching the NCAA Tournament quarterfinal. The Blue Devils defeated six ranked teams, including three in the top-10, with wins over No. 8 Baylor and No. 9 UCF in the NCAA Tournament.

Chloe Beck will anchor the 2021-22 unit. Beck will also have her doubles partner, sophomore

NEW FACES
The Blue Devils are welcoming several new faces to the team this season. Freshmen
Ellie Coleman (Midland, Mich.) and
Emma Jackson (La Grange, Ill.) will make their collegiate debuts this fall. In addition, graduate student
Eliza Omirou (Nicosia, Cyprus/Wake Forest) comes to Durham after four seasons at Wake Forest, where she was a 2020 ITA All-American in doubles and reached a high of No. 9 in the nation.

MILESTONE WATCH
Senior
Margaryta Bilokin reached a personal milestone on Friday, reaching 100 combined victories in singles and doubles in her Duke career. Bilokin has put together a 55-26 record in singles and 46-19 mark in doubles.

Chen needs 12 more singles or doubles victories to reach 200 in her decorated Blue Devils tenure. Chen has compiled a career mark of 110-37 in singles and 78-42 record in doubles.

DUKE IN THE INDIVIDUAL RANKINGS
Duke features three ranked student-athletes in singles – Drummy (5), Chen (25), Beck (28). The Blue Devils also have three doubles teams on the national list – Beck/Berankova are No. 2, Bilokin/Omirou at No. 24, and Chen/Coleman at No. 49.

CHEN VERSUS RANKED
Now in her fifth season with the Blue Devils, Chen has collected a 110-37 singles record. Of the 110 wins, 45 of them have come against ranked opponents. Chen's 110 career wins currently rank in a tie for 15th on the Duke charts with Mary Clayton, Susan Sommerville and Ellah Nze (110) and she will move into a tie for 14th with Mariane Jodoin (111) with one more victory.
