DURHAM – Duke men's tennis announced Monday its 2021 fall competition schedule.

The fall slate features seven events in both collegiate and professional tournaments, beginning Sept. 14 in Cary, N.C. Junior
Garrett Johns and graduate student
Sean Sculley will participate in the ATP Cary Challenger, which runs Sept. 14-19. Johns will play in the singles main draw and team up with Sculley for the doubles main draw.

The Blue Devils host the program's annual Duke Bonk Invitational on Sept. 17-19 at the Cary Tennis Park. The event honors
Dr. James Bonk, a former Duke chemistry professor and assistant tennis coach.

The ITA All-American Championships are slated for Oct. 4-10 in Tulsa, Okla., beginning with qualifying rounds Oct. 4-5, followed by the main draw Oct. 6-10.

The Blue Devils return to North Carolina to host the ITA Regional Championships in Cary, N.C., from Oct. 22-25.

Both the ITA All-American Championships and the ITA Regional Championships provide opportunities for players to qualify for the ITA National Fall Championships, which runs Nov. 4-7 in San Diego, Calif. Â

Duke opens November making the short trip to Winston-Salem, N.C., for the Wake Forest Fall Invite, scheduled for Nov. 5-7. Players who qualify will round out the collegiate portion of the fall season at the ITA National Championships on the West Coast.

The Blue Devils will also host a UTR event in the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center on Nov. 19-21.

Duke returns eight letterwinners from a season ago, and welcome two freshman and one transfer to its 2021-21 lineup.
