DURHAM – Former Blue Devil Chris Rumph II's performance for the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday headlined Duke's alumni in the NFL during week three of the preseason.

The outside linebacker was a bright spot for the Chargers' defense in the 27-0 loss at Seattle, recording four tackles, including three tackles for loss and one sack. Rumph II, a Gainesville, Fla., product also produced two quarterback pressures.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones made his preseason debut Sunday, finishing 17-of-22 passing for 135 yards and one touchdown. Jones found Kaden Smith on a 23-yard touchdown pass for his first score of the preseason.

Tight end Noah Gray continues to impress in Kansas City. Gray recorded two receptions for 24 yards in the Chiefs' 28-25 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Friday. He recorded multiple catches for the second consecutive week.
Offensive lineman Laken Tomlinson started for San Francisco over the weekend and helped the 49ers to a 34-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.Â

Indianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson recorded 81 rushing yards on 10 carries with one score and added a three-yard touchdown reception during Friday's game against Detroit. The Atlanta, Ga., native led the NFL in the third week of preseason play with his final rushing total. The Colts were trailing 17-9 entering the fourth quarter, but Jackson's two touchdowns and two point conversion rush helped Indianapolis score the game's final 18 points to secure the 27-17 win.

Despite his performance during the preseason, Jackson was waived by the Colts on Tuesday as NFL teams trim their roster before the regular season begins.
